A teaser video for the upcoming Seoul Fashion Week’s 2024 Spring/Summer (S/S) collection starring NewJeans has been unveiled Wednesday. The girl group is the promotional ambassador for the fashion event for this year.

The one-minute-long video was posted on Seoul Fashion Week’s YouTube channel by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which features the five members of the girl group donning local designer clothes.

The brands that NewJeans wore — BLR, People of the World, Holy Number 7 and Heeyonghee — are set to participate in Seoul Fashion Week to showcase their 2024 S/S collections.

The upcoming Seoul Fashion Week will take place at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung District, central Seoul, from Sept. 5 to 9. This year, it coincides with the contemporary art fair Frieze Seoul and is held ahead of the “Big 4” fashion weeks — New York, London, Milan and Paris — unlike previous seasons.

Thirty-one brands, including eight newly-emerging brands, will each hold shows. The tradeshow will involve 120 overseas buyers from 28 different nations meeting with 95 local brands, and there will be hands-on programs for visitors scattered throughout the DDP during the week.

NewJeans will continue to appear in teasers, interviews and posters of Seoul Fashion Week, which will be posted to social media and counted down until the event kicks off, the Seoul Metropolitan Government said.
