H Mart, the nation’s largest Asian grocery chain, plans to open a major new location in Haltom City, Texas in early 2026.

According to Biz Journal, H Mart will serve as a key anchor tenant in a 50-acre mixed-use development under construction at the intersection of Loop 820 and North Beach Street. The upcoming store will cover approximately 200,000 square feet.
The development aims to modernize and transform an aging commercial area into a modern retail hub. It will include the large H Mart store along with over 50 retail outlets, such as restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and salons.
With more than $100 million in capital investment, the project is expected to revitalize the Haltom City economy. The Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) region, where Asians make up around 10% of the population, anticipates a tailored multicultural retail environment. Local community expectations are high for this new addition.
Rex Phelps, Haltom City Manager, stated that H Mart’s quality produce, meats, seafood, and Asian food products are already attracting strong interest from local residents.
Haltom City estimates the completed complex will generate $80 million to $90 million in annual retail sales.
