H-Mart, the largest Asian supermarket, is preparing to open a new store in Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas branch, H-Mart’s first in Nevada, will be located in the Sahara Pavilions South shopping center (2620 S Decatur Blvd. Las Vegas), a large retail shopping center at the intersection of Sahara Ave. and Decatur Blvd.

Local media and residents are excited about the arrival of the popular K-food market in Las Vegas, with the H-Mart store banner written ‘coming soon’ hanging in a large shopping center in one of the city’s busiest areas with 90,000 vehicles coming and going per day.

Located less than two miles from Interstate 15 and U.S. Route 95, the new H Mart is expected to be the center of attention in the neighborhood’s premier retail district once it opens.

The new H-Mart will be approximately 40,000 square feet and take the space that was previously occupied by the thrift store Savers. Daeho Galbi Jjim, a popular Korean restaurant in San Francisco’s Bay Area, is scheduled to open in the same mall in May. With the opening of H Mart, there will now be two K-food markets in Las Vegas, along with Greenland Market at Koreatown Plaza on Spring Mountain Rd., making it a popular spot for Korean residents and travelers.

H-Mart, which opened its first store in the United States in 1982, currently operates more than 90 branches nationwide. In January, it opened its third Irvine branch in North Park.

The opening date of the new Las Vegas branch is unknown.
