Boy band Enhypen’s latest album “Dark Blood” sold 1.1 million copies on the first day of its release, making it the third album from the boy band to earn million-seller status.

Released Monday, it is also the fastest-selling Enhypen album ever; faster than the boy band’s previous album “Manifesto: Day 1” which sold over a million copies two days after its release.

“Dark Blood” also ranked No. 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 30 regions around the world, including Japan, Indonesia, France and Mexico.

Lead track “Bite Me” is a pop track that talks about a boy who realizes that he and his significant other is linked by destiny. Members of the boy band explained that it “signifies the strong bond between Enhypen and Engene.”

Engene is the name of the boy band’s fan club.

Enhypen debuted in November 2020 under Belift Lab, a subsidiary of HYBE. The band was formed in September of the same year through cable network Mnet and HYBE’s audition show “I-LAND” (2020).

The seven members of the band are: Sunoo, Jake, Jay, Heeseung, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Ni-ki. The band’s most popular tracks include “Drunk-Dazed,” “Fever” from EP “Border: Carnival” (2021), “Given-Taken” from EP “Border: Day 1” (2020) and “Polaroid Love” from repackaged full-length album “Dimension: Answer” (2022).
