Billboard ranks HYBE world’s fifth biggest tour promoter

HYBE was the No. 5 music company in the world in terms of tour revenues and the only Korean company to be included in Billboard’s top 10 list of tour promoters worldwide.

Billboard released a year-end report, “The Year In Touring 2023,” compiling worldwide tours and other performance scores from Nov. 1, 2022 to Sept. 30.

HYBE, home to many K-pop groups, including BTS and Seventeen, sat at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Promoters chart, reaching $188.1 million in yearly sales through its global tours.

The company held 93 concerts worldwide during the year, with 1.6 million ticket sales, according to HYBE.

BTS’s Suga ranked the highest among HYBE’s artists on Billboard’s Top Tours chart at No. 37, earning $57.1 million in revenue. Tomorrow X Together followed him at No. 54, Seventeen at No. 58 and Enhypen at No. 81.

Five of HYBE’s artists were listed in the Top 10 K-pop Tours chart, also on Billboard, showing its power in the K-pop scene.

Suga again ranked the highest among HYBE artists at No. 2. Tomorrow X Together sat at No. 4, Seventeen at No. 5, Enhypen at No. 6 and Le Sserafim at No. 9.

HYBE artists demonstrated their global popularity through their songs, too.

BTS’s Jungkook’s “Seven” was listed as the fourth most streamed song globally on music streaming platform Spotify. “Seven” was the most streamed K-pop track on Spotify, followed by Jimin’s “Like Crazy” at No. 3. Four of NewJeans’ tracks entered the Top 10 chart of most streamed K-pop track, with “OMG” at No. 4, “Ditto” at No. 5, “Super Shy” at No. 6 and “Hype Boy” (2022) at No. 10.
