Air Premia Flight Schedule Change for LA & SF in June Amid Fuel Price Surge

Fuel Crisis Hits the Tarmac: Air Premia Consolidates June Flights to Combat Costs

As the 2026 Iran conflict continues to push jet fuel prices toward record highs, Air Premia is taking decisive action to keep ticket prices manageable. Rather than passing the full weight of Level 33 fuel surcharges onto passengers, the airline has announced a temporary Air Premia Flight Schedule Change and consolidation for its major U.S. routes this June.

This move follows a previous announcement regarding the cancellation of 26 flights on the LA route through the end of May. By consolidating flights, the airline aims to maximize seat occupancy and reduce the massive fuel burn associated with half-empty planes.

Detailed June Schedule Changes: LAX, SFO, HNL, and IAD

If you have a booking for June 20 or June 27, your flight number and departure time have likely changed. Here are the specifics for the primary routes:

1. Los Angeles (LAX) Route

  • Incheon to LA: Flights YP103 originally scheduled for June 20 and 27 (10:05 PM) are moved to the following days, June 21 and 28, departing at 1:00 PM as YP101.

  • LA to Incheon: Flights YP104 originally scheduled for June 20 and 27 (11:30 PM) are consolidated into flights YP102 on June 21 and 28, departing at 10:50 AM.

2. San Francisco (SFO) Route

  • Both Incheon-bound and U.S.-bound flights scheduled for June 20 and 27 have been modified. Passengers are advised to check their specific itineraries via the Air Premia app.

3. Honolulu (HNL) & Washington D.C. (IAD)

  • Honolulu: Changes affect flights on June 28.

  • Washington D.C.: Changes affect flights on June 21.

What Affected Passengers Need to Know

Air Premia is offering flexibility to those caught in this reshuffling. If your flight has been moved or consolidated, the airline is providing:

  • One Free Change: Passengers can move their flight to any date within 7 days of the original departure date without paying a change fee.

  • Customer Support: The airline stated, “We ask for your understanding as we take these measures to minimize fare increases for our customers. We are monitoring the situation closely to return to a normal schedule as soon as possible.”

The Bottom Line

Air Premia’s “Hybrid” model is currently being tested by the global energy crisis. While the schedule changes are a temporary inconvenience, they are a strategic alternative to the massive $600+ fuel surcharges currently being seen on other carriers.
