Korea Creative Content Agency Held Event to Export ‘Korean Stories’

Must read

On November 3, Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) held a pitching event in Santa Monica, CA.

“K-Story in America,” which is in its fifth year, is an event held to introduce Korean pop culture contents ranging from online comics (webtoons) to TV shows. Co-launched with American Film Market, this year’s event was attended by many of the market insiders from different corporations.

This year’s event was more special than ever, especially because Good Doctor is currently presenting a great precedent of content import. The American remake of the Korean drama, which premiered on September 25 through ABC, is showing the highest viewer ratings.

Various Korean video contents, including drama Fight for My Way, webtoon Wootoori, novel Voyager, and animation EggGoog, were introduced at the event.

“I can feel growing attention every year,” said Hye-eun Lee, manager at KOCCA. “The event will work as a great bridgehead for Korean stories to enter the U.S. Market.”
