The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles is organizing a webinar to offer legal information aimed at supporting youth employment and entrepreneurship.
This seminar, scheduled to be conducted online at 5 p.m. on October 4, will showcase a presentation by lawyer Kiwon Sung titled, “What to Look for in a U.S. Startup Before Investing.”
Lawyer Sung will explore various U.S. startup investment strategies’ characteristics, pros, and cons. These include convertible promissory notes, simplified agreements for future equity acquisitions, and preferred equity investments. Additionally, he will provide insights on considerations one should make when selecting the most fitting investment structure for a given company.
This webinar series commenced in May and is conducted monthly. On November 1, lawyer Dok Kim will be presenting on the topic, “Precautions for Permanent Residence and Citizenship Applications.”
The webinar is open to the public and will be presented in Korean.
