Four women, including a Korean American, were arrested and charged in a prostitution sting at massage parlors in Woodland Park, New Jersey, according to police.
Online outlet Patch reported on July 29 that 63-year-old Kyung-Ja Kim, identified as Korean American, was charged with promoting and soliciting prostitution while working at Sunlight Spa in Woodland Park.
The Passaic County Sheriff’s Office and Woodland Park Police Department launched an undercover operation on July 23, targeting three local businesses following multiple reports of prostitution. Authorities arrested four women, aged between 30 and 60, at the scene.
All four were charged with prostitution-related offenses and later released on bail.
The businesses involved were identified as Beauty Medical Center, Eastern Cozy Spa, and Sunlight Spa. The arrested women were described as being of Asian and Latina descent.
Police also seized $13,653 in cash suspected to be related to prostitution activities during the operation.
