According to real estate outlet Urbanize LA, the project known as Western Station, located at 800 S. Western Ave. near 8th Street, recently finished construction and is now preparing for occupancy. The newly built eight-story structure includes 230 residential units and 13,300 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The apartments range from studios to one- and two-bedroom layouts. Monthly rents for the market-rate units start in the $2,100 range.

An existing parking structure next to the site has also been remodeled. It will now serve as a mix of retail space, resident amenities, and parking. In exchange for construction incentives, 23 of the 230 units have been designated as affordable housing for low-income tenants.

The building was designed by KTGY Architects and features a modern podium-style structure with a dark blue exterior finish.

Meanwhile, Jamison recently completed another project on 8th Street just one block away — a 157-unit apartment complex called Loya. The company is also preparing a new 125-unit development further north along Western Avenue.
