This marks the first organization within the party dedicated to Asian Americans since its founding in the 1890s. Kory Minseok Hanh has been appointed as the coalition’s inaugural chair.

The party emphasized that the coalition will serve as an institutional platform to encourage political participation within Asian American communities and to amplify their representation and policy influence within the party.

“The Asian American community is highly educated and civically engaged, yet its political influence remains limited,” said Hanh. “The launch of this coalition will be a catalyst for Asian American and multicultural communities to engage more actively in politics.” He added, “I hope Korean American youth will grow into leaders who lead their communities and the times with sound values and a strong sense of responsibility.”

Coalition to Focus on Building Trust and Policy Communication

Moving forward, the coalition plans to expand exchanges with federal officials and key Republican Party figures. Its primary focus will be building trust with Asian American voters and improving policy communication.
