In an era where data literacy is no longer elective but essential, The Korea Daily is launching its 5th Annual AI-Powered Data Analysis Camp. This premier 7-week program offers a decisive turning point for students in Grade 7 and above to build their college portfolios and future careers.
The Korea Daily (JoongAng Ilbo) is proud to announce the opening of the “2026 AI-Powered Data Analysis with Python” Summer Camp. Now in its fifth year, this prestigious program is designed for students in Grade 7 and above who are eager to master the cutting-edge tools of Big Data and AI-driven “Vibe Coding.”
■ A Global Classroom for Future Leaders
While rooted in the vibrant Korean-American community, the camp has become a hub for diverse talent, recently attracting high-achieving students from various backgrounds, including Chinese-American participants. This diversity enriches the collaborative environment, mirroring the global nature of the tech industry.
Jointly operated by The Korea Daily and SoDAVi (Social Data Analysis and Visualization), a non-profit organization of data experts, the 7-week program (June 11 – July 28) offers a rigorous yet rewarding curriculum:
• Phase 1 (Weeks 1-2): Mastery of Python fundamentals and AI-assisted Vibe Coding.
• Phase 2 (Weeks 4-6): Deep-dive data projects using real-world public datasets.
• Phase 3 (Leadership): Exclusive “Meet the Leaders” sessions with professionals from Silicon Valley’s top tech firms.
• Phase 4 (Final Challenge): A high-energy, one-day Offline Hackathon hosted at the University of Southern California (USC) & Final Project Result Presentation.
■ Mentorship and Real-World Impact
Participants will be mentored by elite scholars from USC, UCLA, and top-tier universities in Korea. Together, they will analyze community-driven issues and transform raw data into actionable insights—creating a powerful portfolio that stands out in the competitive college admissions landscape.
■ Professional Recognition and Internship Tracks
The program goes beyond a traditional certificate. All graduates receive a joint certification from The Korea Daily and SoDAVi. Furthermore, top-performing students will be awarded a 3-month Data Analysis Internship with The Korea Daily. This rare opportunity allows students to see their data findings published in professional news reports, providing a significant boost to their extracurricular resumes.
■ Enrollment Details (Limited Seats)
To ensure high-quality instruction and personalized mentorship, the camp is strictly limited to the first 20 registered students.
