U.S. agency aims to ‘disrupt’ K-pop with AI and the metaverse

A group of K-pop gurus has founded an agency in the United States called Titan Content with the aim of merging tech with K-pop.

The company, founded by former SM Entertainment CEO Nikki Semin Han, launched in April of this year.

Han’s founding team includes CEO Katie Kang, Chief Performance Officer Lia Kim, and Chief Visual Officer Guiom Lee.

“Think of Titan like the ‘Avengers’ of the K-pop community, joining forces to redefine the industry,” Han told Variety.

“Together, we’re creating a company where artists thrive, fans come first, music takes center stage and industry disruption reigns supreme.”

Titan also plans to combine traditional K-pop business models and content with Web 3.0, metaverse and AI innovation, it said to Variety.

The company hopes that its global artists will be well received in both the East and the West. Its headquarters are located in Los Angeles, but it also maintains an office and studio in Seoul.

Titan Content’s investors include SK Square subsidiary Dreamus Company, RW3 Ventures and Raptor Group.

Dreamus Company aims to support the globalization of K-pop as the only domestic company that currently holds stake in Titan Content. The firm will be in charge of Korean distribution for Titan’s songs, albums and merchandise, and will help to expand its intellectual property.
