Trot singer Lim Young-woong to perform in Los Angeles next February

Lim Young-woong will hold a concert at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Feb. 11 and 12 next year, his agency announced Monday.

Lim became the first trot singer to hold a national tour at the Gocheok Sky Dome and the Olympic Park Gymnastic Studios over the weekend. The February concerts will be his first time performing overseas.

Lim has already been breaking records as the first trot singer to regularly top music charts, with his first full-length album released in May this year selling over one million copies in the first week of release — a record for a trot singer.

“I am going to meet my fans in Los Angeles,” Lim had previously hinted during a concert. “I’m coming back as an LA boy.” Lim’s recent EP was a song called “London Boy.”
