Tragic rollover crash claims life of 22-year-old Korean-American on 2 Freeway

A man in his early 20s, believed to be Korean-American, died at the scene after a solo rollover crash on the 2 Freeway early in the morning on September 26.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident happened at around 2:55 a.m. on the northbound side of the 2 Freeway near East Mountain Street.

The vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest on its right side, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The L.A. County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 22-year-old John Ho Yoon Lee of Flintridge, La Cañada.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
