Tokyo Central, a Japanese goods retail chain, has officially launched its new online store at www.tokyocentral.com, expanding its sales channel beyond brick-and-mortar locations to reach customers across the United States.
According to the company, the online platform improves accessibility by allowing more customers to shop for Japanese products without visiting physical stores. The website features thousands of items, including snacks, cosmetics, household goods, electronics, and anime merchandise.
A key advantage of the platform is its competitive pricing on products directly imported from its affiliated Japanese retailer, Don Quijote.
To mark the launch, Tokyo Central is running a special Tanabata-themed promotion from July 20 to August 11. Customers who spend $59 or more will receive free shipping. Additional discounts apply during checkout:
-
$5 off purchases over $39
-
$10 off purchases over $69
-
$15 off purchases over $99
Some items are also eligible for extra savings during the payment process through limited-time offers.
A Tokyo Central spokesperson stated, “Through a variety of promotional campaigns that blend tradition and modernity, we aim to introduce Japanese culture and products to more consumers nationwide. We will continue expanding accessibility and product variety through our online channels.”
Meanwhile, the company also announced plans to hold a grand opening event for its new Irvine location on either July 26 or 27. The store will be located in Heritage Square Mall, near Culver Drive and the I-5 Freeway, and will include various facilities such as a sushi restaurant.
