Violinist Esther Yoo (31) has been appointed professor of strings at the Royal Academy of Music in London, according to a statement released on September 9 by concert management company Mast Media. She is the first musician of Korean heritage to join the Academy’s faculty. Founded in 1883, the institution is a leading conservatoire under royal patronage that has trained generations of world-class performers.
