Squid Game and Mr. Sunshine actor Byung-hun Lee’s Los Angeles home was recently targeted by burglars, though, fortunately, no major damage was reported.
Entertainment media outlet TMZ reported on January 29 that Byung-hun Lee’s Los Angeles home was burglarized last week, with police currently investigating the incident. The intruder reportedly broke the glass of the sliding door to get in.
At the time of the incident, Lee and his family were not at home. The motives for the break-in and what was stolen are still unclear. Police are checking with Lee to see if any item is missing.
The police said, “There is no indication that the thieves were aware the house belonged to Byung-hun Lee. This incident seems consistent with the activities of a group known for recent thefts in the LA suburbs.”
On January 29, Lee’s agency, BH Entertainment, clarified, “The break-in was by a petty thief, not a major robbery, and fortunately, there was no property damage.”
In 2022, an entertainment broadcast revealed that Byung-hun Lee and Min-jung Lee bought the house during a trip to the U.S. The purchase price was reported to be around $2 million.
