Son Heung-min LAFC visa approved, debut possible August 9 [Exclusive]

Son Heung-min has received P-1 visa approval, making him eligible for his Major League Soccer (MLS) debut with Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) on August 9 against Chicago Fire FC at SeatGeek Stadium (5:30 p.m. Central Time).

LAFC confirmed to The Korea Daily on August 8 that the visa process for the Korean star is complete. If he plays, it will mark his first MLS appearance.

An LAFC official told The Korea Daily, “The visa process is complete, but whether he will play tomorrow remains to be seen. The starting lineup will be announced one hour before kickoff.”

LAFC currently sits sixth in the Western Conference with a record of 10 wins, 6 draws, and 6 losses, while Chicago Fire FC ranks ninth in the Eastern Conference at 10 wins, 5 draws, and 9 losses.
