Son Heung-Min, 33, is reportedly finalizing a transfer to Los Angeles FC (LAFC) in a deal that could exceed $20 million, potentially making him one of the highest-paid players in Major League Soccer (MLS).

European transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on social media three days ago that Son Heung-Min has decided to continue his career in the United States and has reached a verbal agreement with LAFC. Final contract details are currently being negotiated. The Korea Daily was the first Korean-language outlet to report on Son’s possible move to MLS.
Excitement is growing among the Korean American community in Los Angeles, with fans eagerly anticipating the chance to see Son perform his signature “camera click” goal celebration at LAFC matches. On August 3, Korean YouTuber “LA Ssoq” uploaded a video from LAFC’s team store showing a customized jersey with “SON 7,” signaling growing anticipation ahead of any official confirmation.
Multiple outlets report that Son may earn more than Sergio Busquets of Inter Miami, who currently makes $8.7 million annually. If confirmed, Son would rank behind only Lionel Messi ($20.4 million, Inter Miami) and Lorenzo Insigne ($15.4 million, Toronto FC) on the MLS salary list.
