SharkNinja is recalling approximately 1.85 million Ninja Foodi pressure cookers due to a defect that could cause burn injuries, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on April 25.
The recall affects all models in the OP300 series of multi-function pressure cookers. According to the CPSC, the lid may not properly seal during pressure cooking, which can cause hot contents to eject and pose a burn hazard.
SharkNinja has received 106 reports of burn injuries related to the defect, with over 50 involving second- or third-degree burns. The company is currently facing 26 lawsuits over the issue.
The recalled units were sold between January 2019 and March 2025 for about $200 through major retailers including Walmart, Costco, Target, and Amazon. The products were manufactured in China.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the pressure cooking function and contact SharkNinja for a free replacement lid. Other functions, such as air frying, may still be used safely. Additional details can be found at cpsc.gov.
