Seventeen wins top prize at The Fact Music Awards

Seventeen won the top prize at this year’s “The Fact Music Award,” along with many renowned K-pop acts taking home awards.

“2023 The Fact Music Awards,” or “2023 TMA,” is an annual music award hosted by online media outlet The Fact since 2018. This year’s awards were held at the Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon.

The Grand Prize went to Seventeen, breaking BTS’s winning streak of five years from 2018 to 2022. Seventeen also won the Artist of the Year with NewJeans IVE, Nmixx, aespa, Treasure, ITZY, Ateez, Stray Kids and trot singer Lim Young-woong.

This year’s Idol Plus Popularity award, decided by a vote, was given to BTS’s Jimin, while the Listeners Choice award went to NewJeans, the Worldwide Icon award to aespa and World Best Performer to IVE.

Rookie boy bands ZeroBaseOne and BoyNextDoor won the Next Leader awards, and the Hottest award went to BoyNextDoor and xikers.

The Band Performance of the Year award went to rock band Jannabi, while Solo Performer of the Year went to Kwon Eunbi.

This year’s TMA also saw 17 K-pop idols performing their hit tracks, from aespa and Nmixx to ZeroBaseOne, Riize, BoyNextDoor and more.
