Sandara Park, a former member of the group 2NE1, has denied involvement in drug use after being indirectly mentioned in a written social media post by Park Bom — but her recent actions on social media have drawn attention and raised questions about their relationship.
On March 3, Park Bom posted a long handwritten message on her social media account in which she wrote, “Park Sandara was caught doing drugs, and to cover it up, made it seem like Park Bom was the drug user.” The message shocked many fans.
Although Park Bom’s post was later deleted, Sandara Park found herself at the center of the fallout from the allegation. At that time, Sandara Park’s contract with her agency, Abyss Company, had also expired, meaning she was not in a position to make an official statement through her label.
Eventually, on March 4, Sandara Park posted on her own social media account: “I have never used drugs. I hope she gets better.” Her message focused less on condemning the allegation and more on expressing concern for Park Bom’s well-being, given their long history as group mates.
Sandara Park also appeared publicly later that day with a bright smile, seemingly brushing off the controversy. However, fans noticed that Park Bom was no longer on Sandara Park’s list of accounts followed on social media. Sandara Park continues to follow other former 2NE1 members, CL and Gong Min-ji, but Park Bom is absent. In contrast, Gong Min-ji’s own follow list includes both Sandara Park and Park Bom.
These actions have led many fans to speculate that Sandara Park may be distancing herself from Park Bom following the incident — despite her public denial of any wrongdoing.
