Samsung Electronics will unveil its next Galaxy foldables and smart ring on July 10 in Paris ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics, industry sources said Thursday.
The Galaxy Fold 6 and Flip 6 as well as the much-anticipated Galaxy Ring will be unveiled at the Unpacked event.
The summer Unpacked, traditionally devoted to Samsung Electronics’ foldable series, will take place approximately two weeks earlier than it has in the past. Last year’s was held July 26 in Seoul.
“The location and timing of Unpacked should be beneficial for Samsung, leveraging the festive vibe formed around the Olympics while getting the spotlight all by itself,” said one source.
The Galaxy Ring, a new form factor for Samsung Electronics, was first unveiled at Mobile World Congress early this year in Barcelona, Spain. The wellness device was unveiled in three colors and nine sizes.
Samsung is expected to reveal detailed specs of the ring at the upcoming Unpacked event.
