Republic of Korea Veterans Ministry announced on Feb 1 that it began a project to bring home the remains of Hwang Ki-hwan, a Korean independence fighter and U.S. soldier who inspired K-drama “Mr. Sunshine”, who has been laid to rest at Mount Olivet Cemetery in New York, before the centennial anniversary of his death on April 17.
