Yoon Song-yee, president and chief strategy officer (CSO) of NCSoft, was named as one of four honorees at the Council for Korean Americans’ (CKA) annual gala, the game publisher said Tuesday.

Every year, the CKA awards those with a Korean background who have contributed to American society in different fields at the CKA Envision Gala & Summit.

Yoon was chosen as this year’s recipient for inspiring the Korean-American community and experts with her successful 22-year career in tech, media and entertainment businesses.

She is currently exploring the social impacts of artificial intelligence (AI) and the ethical sides and equity of technology as a member of the Advisory Council of the Human-centered AI at Stanford University, and serving as an advisory board member of the Center for Asian Pacific Policy and a visiting fellow at the Center to Advance Racial Equity Policy at RAND.

Yoon is also the CEO of NCWest, the U.S. branch of NCSoft, and chairperson of the NC Cultural Foundation.

A total of four honorees were announced, including Circuit Judge Lucy Koh, “Pachinko” author Min Jin Lee and Blackyoonicorn CEO Africa Yoon.

The 2022 CKA Envision Gala & Summit and award ceremony will take place on Nov. 19 at the Conrad Hotel in Washington D.C.
