The 2026 Palisade Hybrid from Hyundai has been named the best new vehicle of the year.
According to Edmunds, which released its Top Rated 2026 list on February 18, the 2026 Palisade Hybrid won the Best of the Best Award, the top honor given to only one model.
The Palisade Hybrid was also selected as the top vehicle in the SUV category. Edmunds said it earned high marks for technology, ride comfort, and stability, calling it a vehicle that performs strongly in many areas within its segment.
Hyundai’s Ioniq 5, an electric SUV, was also named the best vehicle in the electric SUV category this year. Tucson Hybrid and the three-row electric SUV Ioniq 9 were listed as recommended vehicles in the SUV and electric SUV categories, respectively.
Edmunds selects top models each year by conducting real-world driving tests on all new vehicles currently on sale and then choosing the highest-rated vehicles by segment.
