A Korean-American bank headquartered in LA, Open Bank has been recognized as a top SBA lender in Texas.
Open Bank announced on January 25 that the State of Texas Small Business Administration (SBA) has recognized it as ‘The Most Improved Lender in 7a Lending’ for the Dallas/Fort Worth District for the Fiscal Year 2023.
“This recognition reflects our consistent growth in lending during challenging times,” said Jason Kim, Senior Vice President at Open Bank in Texas. “We are honored to be acknowledged as a competitive and dedicated bank.”

Open Bank expanded to Texas with a branch in Carrollton, Texas, in July 2019. The bank’s SBA lending growth notably accelerated in 2022 following the formation of a new SBA team in Carrollton, led by Kim. Since its expansion, the bank has consistently provided robust lending solutions despite various unstable economic conditions.
