Girl group NewJeans’s Hyein was named brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton, the French luxury house said Friday.
“We’re beginning a new journey with [Hyein], who is defining the style of NewJeans with her unique charms,” Louis Vuitton said.
In October, member Hanni was selected as Gucci’s new brand ambassador.
NewJeans debuted in August and has been rocketing in popularity. It set a new record for a debuting K-pop group by selling 311,271 copies of its first EP “New Jeans” in a week. Songs like “Attention,” “Hype Boy” and “Cookie” have landed on the charts of Billboard and Spotify.
The group has five members: Hanni, Minji, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.
NewJeans is once again taking over global music charts with its latest release “Ditto,” which dropped earlier this month.
