Netflix will postpone the release of its originals featuring Yoo Ah-in following allegations of the actor’s chronic drug use, the streaming giant said Monday.

“The release of ‘GoodBye Earth’ has been postponed after discussion with the production team. We will notify you of its [new] release date when it is confirmed,” Netflix told the Korea JoongAng Daily on Monday.

“Film ‘The Match’ [will] have its release held off for the time being,” the streaming service added.

Production of “The Match” portraying the go (board game) match between renowned players Cho Hun-hyun and Lee Chang-ho and drama “GoodBye Earth” based on the dystopian Japanese novel of the same title, had both been completed with Yoo in leading roles.

Netflix announced in early March that Kim Sung-cheol will replace Yoo in “Hellbound 2.” Clothing and cosmetics brands that used Yoo as a model have also cut ties.

Police summoned Yoo for questioning on Monday morning.

On Feb. 5, police detained Yoo at Incheon International Airport and conducted a urine test. He tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol, the main constituent of marijuana, and later tested positive for propofol and marijuana, after more detailed testing.
