Netflix Korea’s original series “Narco-Saints” (2022) topped the streaming platform’s Top 10 Global chart for non-English TV series from Sept. 12 to 18.

The series was watched for 62.65 million hours, followed by American television series “Diary of a Gigolo,” which was watched for 34.4 million hours.

“Narco-Saints,” which was released on Sept. 9, ranked No. 5 on the chart from Sept. 5 to 11.

ENA’s global hit “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” which topped the global chart for seven consecutive weeks until Sept. 11, fell to No. 4, having been streamed for 21.97 million hours.

Starring Ha Jung-woo, Hwang Jung-min, Park Hae-soo, Jo Woo-jin and Yoo Yeon-seok, “Narco-Saints” revolves around a drug lord active in Suriname and undercover secret agents working to capture him. It’s adapted from true events related to a Korean drug lord named Cho Bong-haeng who operated a massive trafficking organization in Suriname between the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Other Korean drama series — “Young Lady and Gentleman” (2021-22) on KBS, tvN’s currently airing “Little Women” (2022) and “Alchemy of Souls” (2022), part 1 of which ended last month — each ranked No. 5, No. 9 and No. 10 on the chart.
