National Donut Day returns on Friday, June 6, and shops across Los Angeles and Orange County are rolling out free donuts, bonus rewards, and special-edition flavors.

First established in 1938 by The Salvation Army to honor volunteers who served donuts to soldiers during World War I, the holiday has become a major celebration for donut lovers nationwide.
