Netflix series “Mask Girl” reached second place on the global top 10 rankings of the streaming service just three days after its release, according to Netflix.
“Mask Girl” recorded 2.8 million views in three days since its release on Friday and placed in the top 10 list in 14 countries, including Korea, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.
“Mask Girl” surrounds the story of Mo-mi, an ordinary office worker with an inferiority complex about her looks who is a streamer after work. A colleague discovers her secret, and a series of horrendous events follows.
The series is based on a popular webtoon of the same name, published between 2015 and 2018.
“Mask Girl” stars Lee Han-byeol, Nana and Go Hyun-jung as Mo-mi in different parts of the series, with Ahn Jae-hong and Yeom Hye-ran playing supporting roles.
