Girl group Mamamoo topped multiple music charts with the release of their latest single “Decalcomanie.”
The popular K-pop act returned with an edgy new concept, taking the top spots on ranking sites such as Genie, Olleh Music, Bugs, Naver Music, Monkey3, Mnet and Soribada in the process.
The single combines powerful rock rhythms with the girl group’s signature soulful vocals, producing a unique sound uncharacteristic of the girl group and fully displaying their wide vocal range.
The song was produced by songwriter Kim Do-hoon, who has worked with the band since their debut. Kim was also behind the nationwide hits such as “Some” (2014) by singer Soyou and Junggigo and “Love” (2010) by CNBlue.
The girl group was able to take the top spot from big names such as Twice, who have been dominating the charts with their recently released single “TT.”
The group also provided a live showcase for their fans on the same day, which was broadcast live through the Naver V app.
