LG Display began mass production of its organic light-emitting diode (OLED) dual-mode gaming panel that allows users to swap between two resolutions with assigned refresh rates, a first-of-its-kind feature.
Utilizing a proprietary technology called Dynaimc Frequency & Resolution, the newest 31.5-inch OLED panel can operate natively at either FHD and 480Hz or UHD and 240Hz. Users might employ the higher refresh rate for first-person shooter or racing games, for example, and the higher resolution for role-playing titles and more vivid content.
The panel comes with a number of additional features meant to add to the gaming experience, such as Meta Technology 2.0 which realizes maximum brightness and Thin Actuator Sound, which generates audio with the vibrations of the display, eliminating the need for separate speakers.
