Kim Chae-won of girl group Le Sseraim tested positive for influenza A and will take time off, her Source Music said Monday.
“Kim Chae-won had been recovering after catching influenza A but suffered from prolonged dizziness and had to consult a doctor again on Oct. 13,” the agency said.
“She was advised to take a break and rest from the doctor,” it added, saying that it decided Kim should focus on recovering from the illness.
“She will not be taking part in recordings and other schedules in the coming days.”
“Le Sserafim will continue with four members for the time being,” the agency said. When she will return was not announced.
Earlier this month, members Kim Chae-won, Huh Yun-jin and Kazuha caught influenza A and had to cancel two concerts that were set to take place on Oct. 7 and 8 in Bangkok.
The girl group will drop its first English digital single “Perfect Night” on Oct. 27.
