Le Sserafim’s English single ‘Perfect Night’ tops Melon’s Top 100 chart

Le Sserafim‘s English single “Perfect Night” landed No. 1 on Melon’s Top 100 streaming chart, making it the first English song from a K-pop girl group to top the chart.

“Perfect Night” first topped the chart at 11 p.m., Sunday, keeping the spot for two hours, then regained the position at 9 a.m. on Monday. The song first entered the chart at No. 98 on Oct. 28, a day after the song was released on Oct. 27.

“Perfect Night” also saw good results in other Korean music charts, as it remained No. 3 on Circle Chart’s Global K-pop Chart for two weeks in a row, landed No. 2 on the weekly chart of YouTube music in Korea this week and was on top of the Bugs’s daily chart for four days in a row from Wednesday to Saturday, which is an impressive result for an English track sung by a Korean artist in Korea, according to the girl group’s agency Source Music.

The digital single was released in collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment’s online multiplayer shooter game Overwatch 2.

Le Sserafim also made appearances at Blizzard’s yearly gaming convention, BlizzCon, held Nov. 4 and 5 in Anaheim, California, performing the group’s hit tracks and even participating in Overwatch 2 gaming sessions.

Melon’s Top 100 streaming chart, released every hour, is calculated based on usage from the past 24 hours and the past hour. From 1 a.m. to 7 a.m., the chart is wholly based on usage from the past 24 hours, as traffic is low during early morning hours. Melon is the largest Korean music streaming service provider.
