Las Vegas launches first-ever citywide mega sale to boost slumping tourism

In an unprecedented effort to revive weakening tourism, Las Vegas has launched its first-ever citywide mega sale across resorts and attractions. The promotion runs from September 22 to 26, offering travelers major discounts and perks.

According to Fox Business on September 23, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) said participating hotels will provide special offers including up to 50% off rooms, complimentary upgrades, free parking, and attraction tickets. Major resorts such as Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts, and The Venetian are joining the campaign. Fontainebleau offers 20% off rooms, waived resort fees, $50 daily credit, and free parking. The Venetian and Palazzo are providing 33% off suite rates, gondola rides, and $300 in spa and dining credits.

The citywide sale reflects pressure to recover tourism demand. LVCVA data shows 22.64 million visitors between January and July, down 8% from last year. Experts say rising costs have slowed Las Vegas travel, making this promotion a strategic move to attract price-sensitive travelers.

LVCVA CEO Steve Hill said, “Las Vegas has always offered unique experiences at a range of price points. This sale enhances that value, giving travelers the best bang for their buck.” Analysts expect the promotion to expand the tourism base, leveraging major events like the Super Bowl and F1 Grand Prix.

MGM Resorts provides discounts at Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, and Park MGM, while luxury resorts such as Aria and Bellagio offer up to 25% off rooms plus $100 daily food and beverage credit.
