The City of Los Angeles is hosting a webinar for the Korean-American community to support local small businesses that have been operational for over 20 years.
The Mayor’s Small Business Cabinet and the Economic & Workforce Development Department (EWDD) will host a webinar on the LA Legacy Business Program (LALB) specifically for Korean Americans on April 3.
The event, scheduled for noon on April 3, will feature live Korean interpretation and offer an overview of the LALB, application procedures, and a Q&A session.
Launched in February, the LALB is designed to provide financial aid and resources from the City of Los Angeles to help sustain local long-standing businesses and assist them in transitioning successfully to future generations.
To qualify, businesses must significantly impact their community’s history or identity, preserve and promote unique cultural traditions or practices, be independently operated without ties to franchises or national chains, and provide essential goods and services in a culturally and linguistically approachable way for the community.

Eligible businesses can start registering for the program and apply for grants of up to $20,000 starting this fall.
Participants interested in the webinar must pre-register via Zoom at the provided link.
