The LA Auto Show 2025 has opened, offering visitors a clear look at trends in the North American auto industry. This year’s show reflects a global adjustment in electric vehicle (EV) market growth, with many hybrid and off-road models appearing alongside EVs.

Marking its 118th edition, the LA Auto Show held a media preview on November 20, 2025, and is open to the public from November 21, 2025 through November 30, 2025. The event fills the South Hall and West Hall of the LA Convention Center, where more than 30 automakers, including Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Toyota, Chevrolet, Lucid, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Nissan, are unveiling new models and offering interactive programs.

On opening day, Kia was the first to announce a new vehicle, revealing the 2027 second-generation Telluride in its global debut. The new model has a longer body, taller height, and extended wheelbase. Based on Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, it modernizes the strong silhouette of the previous generation. Vertical headlamps, a refined grille pattern, and newly designed wheel arches create the SUV’s updated signature look.

The off-road X-Pro trim improves off-road capability with 9.1-inch ground clearance and all-terrain tires. Inside, the expanded body enhances space and usability in the second and third rows. A total of 10 new exterior colors have been added, and the model is scheduled to reach local dealerships in the first quarter of 2026.
Sean Yoon, president and CEO of Kia America, said, “Preparing the second-generation Telluride by figuring out how to further develop the success factors of the first generation, which was popular from the time of its launch, was a major challenge. The new Telluride is a sophisticated and capable SUV that combines innovation with a consumer-centered philosophy.”

Hyundai showcased its future direction in technology and design by presenting its next-generation high-performance N lineup and an adventure-themed concept car.
First introduced was the 2026 Elantra N TCR Edition, a limited model celebrating Hyundai’s achievement of winning the TCR manufacturer championship for six consecutive years in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. Hyundai then gave the North American debut of the high-performance electric Ioniq 6 N from the Hyundai N line. Both models are scheduled for limited release early next year.
Michael Evernoff, senior manager of product planning for Hyundai Motor America, said, “The Ioniq 6 N is a model that combines more dynamic driving performance, improved technology, and a new body type, building on the success of the Ioniq 5 N. We actively reflected feedback from media and owners during the vehicle development process.”

On the same stage, Hyundai also drew attention by unveiling the CRATER concept car for the first time globally. CRATER is a small off-road SUV that emphasizes an adventure feel and was developed at the Hyundai America Technical Center (HATCI) in Irvine.
Throughout the auto show, visitors can enjoy test drives of new vehicles from each brand, off-road driving experiences, and a range of other events.
The LA Auto Show is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., except on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, when hours run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $25 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $12 for children. From Monday to Thursday, discounted prices are available: $22 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $10 for children.
