L.A. Koreans Vulnerable to Lung Cancer

Must read

Koreans residing in Los Angeles have a considerably higher risk of suffering lung cancer than other ethnicities in the same area, according to a recent research by David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation.

The research found that Koreans in the L.A. area are 4.5 times more likely to suffer from lung cancer than Caucasians. The research added that California currently has the most number of lung cancer patients in the country and that Koreans are 10 times more likely to suffer from any type of cancer compared to Caucasians.

The research suggested that the tendency to prefer salty and spicy food as well as grilled meat is the primary reason behind Koreans’ vulnerability to lung cancer.
