Koreatown’s Mini-Park Opens

A mini-park dedicated for the Korean-American community has opened last Saturday in Los Angeles Koreatown.

The West Chester Business Improvement District (WCBID) opened the Community School Park inside the campus of L.A. Koreatown’s Young Oak Kim Academy.

Located on Shatto and Vermont on Sixth, the park will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for free, according to the WCBID. The entrance is on Sixth across the street from IHOP.

The park will host various basketball, soccer and field hockey games as well as other sports and art events on a weekly basis.

Meanwhile, anyone with criminal records as sex offenders cannot be within 2,000 feet from the park.
