A male teacher, believed to be Korean, was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a female student in San Jose, North Ga Province.
The San Jose Police Department arrested Taebin Jung (31, photo), an English teacher at East San Jose Yeoba Buena High School, at his home on charges of sexual assault against a minor and imprisoned him in Santa Clara County Prison on the 10th.
On the 9th, the previous day, the police arrested Jeong at the report of a parent. Chung’s former student’s mother found out that he sent inappropriate messages to her 17-year-old daughter while working at Silver Creek High School, and later confirmed that he had sexually assaulted her.
The police are expanding their investigation and receiving related reports, saying that there may be additional victims as Chung has continued his teaching career since then.
The Eastside Union Education District said in a statement that it immediately dismissed Chung and that he is not teaching in any of the districts.
