Police arrested and detained a Korean man named Dennis Cho (20) who was at the scene of the incident as their suspect. He is the son of the deceased victim, and the police secured a knife believed to have been used at the crime scene as evidence.

Cho is also accused of beating and choking his 61-year-old father, who was also found suffering from a cut to his hand and injuries to his head and neck.

Neighbors said they often had loud arguments at the house, and the police frequently visited their residence, the last visit being last Christmas Eve.
