Congressman Andy Kim, who is running to become the first Korean-American U.S. Senator, will visit Los Angeles this weekend, just 50 days before the election.
This marks his first visit to LA in seven months, following his last trip in February. During his two-day stay, Congressman Kim is scheduled to speak at two private fundraising events and two public engagements.
On the afternoon of September 13, he will attend a press briefing with members of the Korean American media. Immediately following that, he will join the “Korean Americans for Harris” gathering at the Duckbill Lounge on Wilshire Blvd at 5 p.m., where he plans to discuss the presidential campaign with Korean American Democrats.

The following day, on the morning of September 14, Congressman Kim will speak at the “Giving Summit,” hosted by the Korean American Community Foundation (KACF) at the Line LA Hotel.
The event will feature 12 speakers, including Kymber Lim, founder of Korean American Leaders in Hollywood, Katherine Yeom, Executive Director of the Korean American Family Services, and Julie Ha, director of the film “Free Chol Soo Lee.” The discussions will center on the theme of “power of giving.”
A fundraising event, organized by PAFCO Vice Chair Jihee Huh, will also take place, where Korean American business leaders and influencers, primarily from the second generation, are expected to show their support for Congressman Kim.
In June, Congressman Kim won the New Jersey Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate and is now preparing for a head-to-head race against his Republican opponent in the general election.
