Producer Park Jin-young of JYP Entertainment and KBS will team up to create a music variety show.
“A variety show starring Park Jin-young is set to air,” KBS told the Korea JoongAng Daily on Monday.
“Program release dates have not been confirmed yet,” it added.
Korean media reported Monday that Park and KBS will launch a new variety program with KBS to form a female vocalist project group consisting of well-known singers. The report added that the upcoming show is set to air this year.
Park, as the founder and producer of JYP Entertainment, was responsible for the production of many K-pop acts., including Stray Kids, Twice, ITZY, NMIXX and more. He was the judge of many K-pop audition programs over the years, including SBS’s “K-pop Star” (2011–12), Mnet’s “Sixteen” (2015), whose winners debuted as girl group Twice, “Loud” (2021) and produced “Nizi Project” (2020) in Japan to form the Japanese girl group Niziu.
