Jungkook’s ‘Golden’ sells over 2.4M copies in first week of release

Jungkook’s solo album “Golden” sold over 2.4 million copies within seven days of sales, making him the highest-selling K-pop solo artist in a week’s time.

“Golden” sold 2,438,483 copies as of Friday 12:01 a.m., according to the market tracker Hanteo Chart on Friday.

“Golden” was released at 1 p.m. on Nov. 3 and sold over one million copies in three hours. It became a double million-seller after five hours of release. It was the first time for a K-pop soloist to sell more than 2 million albums in one day.

“Golden” is Jungkook’s first official solo album that contains the “golden moments of Jungkook,” according to his agency BigHit Music. Eleven songs are included in the compilation, including “Seven,” “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” and the lead track “Standing Next to You.”
