Orange County Superior Court Commissioner June Jee An

 

California Governor Gavin Newsom has appointed a Korean-American attorney to serve as a judge in the Orange County Superior Court.

The governor’s office announced the appointment of Orange County Superior Court Commissioner June Jee An as a judge of that court in a press release on December 8.

Judge An, who served as a Research Attorney at the Los Angeles County Superior Court from 2005 to 2014, also served as a Deputy General Counsel at the Orange County Superior Court from 2016 to 2022 and has been a commissioner since 2022.

She graduated from UCLA, attended Loyola Law School, and passed the bar exam in 2003. A Democrat, she worked as an Associate at Kalcheim Salah from 2003 to 2005. An’s judgeship fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Kim R. Hubbard.
