FBI Probes Cynthia Gonzalez Over ICE Gang Comments on TikTok

Cynthia Gonzalez, Vice Mayor of Cudahy, is under federal investigation after a TikTok video surfaced in which she called on gangs like 18th Street and Florencia 13 to defend their “hood” from ICE raids in Los Angeles according to FOX News.

In the now-deleted video, Gonzalez said: “Where all the cholos at?… Don’t claim no block if you’re not showing up to organize.” She later posted, “The FBI just came to my house. It was about a TikTok.”

The City of Cudahy distanced itself, saying her comments don’t reflect the city’s position.

The Los Angeles Police Protective League and Department of Homeland Security condemned the remarks, citing a 500% rise in assaults on ICE officers and urging her resignation and prosecution.

ICE and DHS officials called her comments “dangerous and despicable,” linking them to increased threats against federal agents.

Protests against ICE raids continue in Los Angeles and Orange County, with recent detentions in Pasadena and reports of ICE appearing at schools, courthouses, and workplaces.
