Boy band EXO will release its seventh full-length album on July 10, its agency SM Entertainment said Friday.
“The album is being prepared on schedule and we will release details soon,” the agency said.
This will be the band’s first new album in four years and four months with all members, because individual bandmates had started their military services.
The news comes amid turmoil for both the band and its agency, which has been in a legal battle since the start of this month.
Members Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin — who are also members of the subunit EXO-CBX — claimed that SM Entertainment forced artists to sign unfair contracts and demanded the agency terminate their contracts immediately.
The agency has refuted the members’ claims, arguing that they have been influenced by a third party with “absurd” intentions.
